It has been a real pleasure to serve on the board of directors for the past twelve years and serving as the president for the past two years. I love the 300 SL Gull Wing and Roaster and like the people that own and drive them. The Gull Wing Group is small in number, but is large in spirit.
I have owned my Gull Wing for more than 35 years. These days I do most of my own minor repairs on the car. 25 years ago I completed a 4-year project body-off restoration, which started as an injector pump repair and was completed in 1984.
I have been to most of the conventions since joining the GWG. Gail and I hosted the 1999 convention in Vail, Colorado and the 2009 convention in Sedona, Arizona.
